Aurangzeb Bollywood Movie Review
Story:
A good tale gone sour, the story begins with Yashwardhan (jackie) who is a respectable citizen in society and quite powerful. But in reality, his family comprises of mafia connections. One among them happens to be Ajay (Arjun Kapoor). But the police department decides to put an end to Yash’s empire. The cop duo (Rishi Kapoor, Prithviraj) send their person Vishal (Arjun Kapoor again) into Yash’s household so that information can be had. But few twists take place in such a way that Vishal’s life is in danger. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a good storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was not that good enough. The dialogues were well written. The script was average but the screenplay was not that gripping. The background score was suitable and songs were okay. Cinematography was impressive. Editing was required a lot during the second half. Costumes were well designed while the art department was natural. Arjun Kapoor has taken up a challenge with a dual role and he does that well. Rishi Kapoor was excellent, Prithviraj made his presence felt, Jackie Shroff was elegant, Sasheh Aagha was effective, Amrita Singh was apt. The others contributed in their own way.

Conclusion:
A good subject doesn’t necessarily have to get converted into a good cinema. It takes a lot of grip over the handling of the script and good execution of the scenes. That didn’t happen as expected here. The first half looked promising and had good twists and turns. But it is the second half which spoiled the entire momentum and became a total work of confusion and unconvincing climax. At the box office, the film will find it hard to survive.

Bharatstudent verdict: Could have been better in terms of execution, disappointing!
