Shootout at Wadala Bollywood Movie Review
An action packed tale, the story is about an ordinary young man Manya (john abraham) who gets implicated in a false murder case and he is sentenced life imprisonment. But Manya escapes from the prison and gets to Mumbai. Here he decides to unleash his reign of terror and in this process he clashes with the most powerful gangster brothers Dawood Kaskar (sonu sood), Iqbal Kaskar (manoj bajpayee). In no time, Manya becomes a leading gangster and the government sends in ACP Ishaque (anil kapoor) to put an end to it. How that happens forms the rest of the story.
Shootout at Wadala Hindi Cinema Review
The director has come up with a retro period storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was very gripping. The dialogues were well written. The script was above average and the screenplay was good. The background score was intense and three songs are worth listening. Cinematography was impressive. Editing was crisp. Costumes were suiting the backdrop while the art department was realistic. John Abraham gave a riveting performance and he scored, Kangna made her presence felt, Ronit Roy was a revelation, Anil Kapoor was mindblowing, Manoj Bajpayee was marvelous, Sonu Sood was superb, Tusshar Kapoor was good. Sunny, Priyanka, Sophie gave the much needed visual feast. Others did their bit as required and added value.
Shootout at Wadala Filem Review
The film is slightly based on the book ‘Dongri To Dubai’ and covers a realistic side of the Mumbai underworld during the 80s. While the first half goes about with elements of action, stunts etc it is the second half which also captures a sensitive romantic tale. Overall, this is a film which is a treat for action lovers and goes to show some insight into how the underworld used to work during the early days of gangsters. At the box office, this has a good chance of becoming a profit grosser.

Bharatstudent verdict: Action packed and energetic, can be watched
