Story: A good tale gone sour, the story is about Jayanta Bhai (vivek) a don who falls in love with his neighbour Simi (neha). As expected, both are very different in nature and added to that there is the girl’s father (shishir sharma) who needs to be handled. Though Jayanta is a tough don he is a man with a golden heart and that’s what draws him to Simi. Whether he is successful in his love story or not forms the rest of the tale.

Presentation: The director has come up with a somewhat interesting subject and while the presentation was average, the narrative was a letdown. The dialogues were witty and had good one-liners. The script was decent but the screenplay was disappointing, especially in the second half. The background score was alright but only one song was good. Cinematography was neat. Editing was required at many places. Costumes were suiting the situation while the art department was appealing. Vivek Oberoi has put in a good effort for the role and he scores. Neha Sharma is a sex kitten and her radiating sex appeal is hard to miss. Shishir Sharma was standard. Zakir Hussain was alright. Rahul Singh was regular, Nasser was not used to his full potential. |
Conclusion: Coming up with rom-coms is the name of the game these days but such subjects require deft handling of the script and a good dose of entertainment. That was missing in this movie. The film takes off on an exciting note and one hour just breezes off smoothly but the trouble begins during the second half wherein the director came up with clichéd sequences and the climax was rather abrupt and confusing. Overall, this is a film which would have worked if the screenwriting was good. At the box office, this could be a below average fare.
Bharatstudent verdict: Good plot, good performances but weak execution towards the later half |
