Daler Mehndi Electrifies Crowds at 'Hum Hain. Umeed-e-Kashmir'
Daler Mehndi recently performed at the ' Hum Hain... Umeed-e-Kashmir' concert organized by the Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA), Film and Producers Guild and Zee Entertainment Enterprises in Delhi this weekend. Proceeds from the concert went to selected disaster relief operations devoted to Kashmir and Assam flood relief activities.

Readily bringing his signature enthusiasm to the stage, Daler Mehndi delivered energising performances of his record-breaking all time hit track, ' Tunak Tunak' and ' Namo Namaha'. Drawing on the musician's inevitable energy, the crowd jigged a leg and sang along with Daler Mehndi who is known to go on performing without needing a break.

Speaking about the disasters that had necessitated the fundraising event, Daler mehndi said, "I am very saddened by the situation of two very beautiful states of our country -Kashmir and Assam. I am very fortunate to be a part of this cause." Seen at the event with Daler Mehndi was Mohit Chauhan, who posted a picture of himself with the musical mastermind on Twitter, saying, "From Hum Hain: Ummeed-e-Kashmir show last night in Delhi. Here with @dalermehndi in the green room Love you paaji."

Aditi Rao Haidari and Anupam Kher, both of Kashmiri descent, brought out the tradition of the troubled state. While Anupam Kher arrived dressed in a traditional Kashmiri phiran, Aditi delivered stellar performances on Kashmiri folk songs.

Aamir Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Neha Dhupia, Farhan Akhtar, Shaan, Shantanu Moitra, Parineeti Chopra, Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhojpuri star Ravi Kishan, singer Javed Ali were the other personalities who spoke about the cause, and some of them even put up impressive performances. Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's sister Sara Pilot were also spotted at the concert.

A supporter of all things noble, Daler Mehndi has previously performed for charity for Imran Khan's Shaukat Khannum Memorial Trust in Pakistan and helped raise a whopping $5 million. He has also stood up for causes, contributing sizeable amounts towards the betterment of street children in Kenya as well as famine stricken families of Kalahandi in Orissa, India.
