Priya Paul an epitome of the superwoman is the Chairperson of the
Hospitality Division of the Apeejay Surrendra Group. She owns the
prestigious line of The Park Hotels chain of boutique hotels all over
the Nation. A successful woman entrepreneur, strong feminist, loyal wife
and devoted mother, she embraces a multitude of other roles leading the
Indian Hospitality Industry.
Being an active industry supporter, she was honored with
the ‘Young Entrepreneur of the year in1999-2000 by the Federation of
Hotels and Restaurants Association, India. She has also won the Economic
Times Business Person of the Year in 2002-2003. She has been conferred
with ‘Padma Sri’ award by Govt of India on eve of the Republic Day,
January 2012.

Priya graduated in Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wellesley College, USA. In 1988, she returned to India to join her father as Marketing Manager of The Park Hotels. In 1990, after her father’s untimely death, she stepped in to fill her father’s shoes as the Chairperson of The Park Hotel chain.
She has been appointed, directed variety of roles be it either as Chairperson of Park Hotel, President if the Hotel Association of India (HAI), member of the National Tourism Advisory Council, Founding member of the World Travel Tourism Council India Initiative, Member of the board of trustees South Asia Women’s Fund and Member of the Advisory Board of Directors, Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.
The Park hotels have also won International acclaim with
the UK’s Tatler magazine rating The Park Hotel (Bangalore) as one of the
101 Best Hotels Worldwide in 2003. Today, The Park Hotel chain is a
name to reckon with a nationwide presence in New Delhi, Hyderabad,
Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Vishakhapatnam.
