Masaba Gupta the most promising, youngest and budding Indian Fashion Designer. She is a vivacious designer. Her creations are contemporary, spunky with brighter hues of mixed heritage.
Masaba is an SNDT Mumbai 2010 graduate and was a state-level tennis player and a promising soccer player. She is the daughter of actress Neena Gupta and cricketer Vivian Richards. At SNDT fashion show she was awarded 'collection of the year' for her creation after which the label "Masaba" was unveiled.

Masaba showcased her first collection 'Kattran' at Lakme Fashion Week
Spring/Summer ' 2010 under the "Gen Next" category and won the 'Most
promising Designer' of the Year Award by INIFD. According to Masaba,
'Kattran' is for every woman and symbolizes individuality & strength
to put together broken pieces of her life and emerge beautiful. Masaba
cherishes "My timing was perfect. God has been by my side. The entry I
made was apt as the industry was fed up of the same monotonous clothing,
so a fresh take was very welcoming".
Masaba avers, for her, inspiration comes from the strangest of places,
from Indian embroideries, crafts, weaves and street women. She
confesses, "Labor class women at construction sites inspire me with
their innovation as they make the most of whatever little they have.
They are so good with colors and the art of kitschy mix and match. They
look stunning and in their own way, are so effortlessly stylish. This is
where I get my design sensibilities from!" She currently retails from
over eight leading stores in India.
