One of the most credited and sought after actresses of the Indian cinema is Moon Moon Sen. She has been seen in more than 60 films and worked in more than 40 films. After working in Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and other languages she also went to Bollywood and made her mark. Her best performance was in the Telugu film Sirivennela directed by the great K Vishwanath. Moon Moon is the daughter of the iconic actress Suchitra Sen and her father Dibanath Sen was one of the wealthiest businessman in Calcutta. Her grandfather Dinanath Sen was the Minister with the Maharaja of Tripura. Moon Moon did her education at the Loreto Convent in Darjeeling and then she moved to Loreto House in Calcutta. Then she went to a school in England for a while. Moon Moon completed her graduation from Loreto College, Calcutta followed by Masters in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University. She loves to paint and collect antiques. She also did a stint in teaching for a while. Her debut was in the film Andar Bahar in 1984. Before entering films, Moon Moon also did modeling for many products. She is also writing a cookbook which will be published soon. Moon Moon is married to Bharat Dev Varma and she has two daughters Raima and Riya who are both noted actresses. She has also received the famous Nandi award, the Kalakendra Screen Award and the Bharat Nirman Award.
