Health benefits of curry leaf   

The curry leaf is an integral part of Indian dishes especially those which are made in the south. But then most of the times the leaves are thrown away once the dishes are removed. That need not be done. By eating curry leaves there are many health benefits. The reason for that is, it has many medicinal properties. It has the power to break the food and digest it easily.
 
Curry leaf tends to stimulate digestive enzymes. For instance, you can mix few curry leaves with butter milk and a little asafetida and this can be had after a good meal so that you can have better digestion. Curry leaves is a very good remedy for indigestion and nausea as its juice can be mixed with pinch of sugar and some lime. By chewing curry leaves daily you can also lose weight.
 
The other important benefit of curry leaves is they improve eyesight and it also has the properties to prevent cataract. So eating curry leaves is beneficial for eyes. Also, they are very good for hair colour and growth. To those who don’t like eating the curry leaves raw they can buy the curry leaf powder which is available in the market and it can be mixed with rice or hot dosa.
 
The curry leaf powder can be prepared at home and having this regularly prevents graying of hair. The curry leaves can also be used as hair oil. Well, take few curry leaves and add them to your hair oil and boil for few minutes. Once it cools down you can then apply this hair tonic and this will keep your hair healthy and strong. But remember that having one or two leaves won’t help much. You must have the leaves in good quantities daily for better results.
