So far, the Intel company has been ruling the microprocessor market and it has never ventured into the mobile market. But with smartphones taking over the notebook market, Intel has now arrived with their product. This is the Xolo X900 Smartphone. This is India’s first Android Smartphone being made in collaboration with Indian mobile manufacturer Lava.
The Xolo X900 has got Intel’s 1.6 Ghz Intel Atom Processor and with hyper threading. This has also got a 400 Mhz graphic core. The smartphone is fitted with a 1GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory. The casing is quite sleek and one can get reminded of an I Phone. This is made by plastic with a rubber finish on the rear. The device is a touch phone and it has 4.03“ TFT-LCD capacitive touch display.
This has got a Gorilla Glass screen and the resolution is 1024 x 600 for higher clarity. The display is clear even under direct sunlight. Given the Atom processor, the smartphone can decode 1080 p full HD videos at the rate of 60 fps. On the flip side though, the device cannot run all applications on Google Play. Another hiccup is that the lower end of the device tends to get hot while multi-tasking.
The casing holds 1460mAh batter which is irremovable. There is no provision for expandable memory. There is also the HDMI port which allows you to watch HDTV or play games. There is a dedicated camera button and volume rocker. The camera is of 8 megapixels with a single LED flash. It also has a 1.3 mp front-facing secondary camera for video calls. The rest of the things such as gyroscope, magnetometer, ambient light sensor is also there.
