The chip giant Intel has entered the mobile market in India and they have tied up with Lava mobiles for this. They have launched the world’s first smartphone with Intel Inside and it is Lava Xolo 900. Given the fact that both Lava and Intel are new to the mobile market, this product seems to have turned out fairly well. In a way, this has brought an edge to Lava to compete in the mainstream mobile market.
The Lava Xolo 900 has the latest Atom Processor Z2460 which is Intel’s latest and the design code has been named as Medfield. Though the specifications look good on paper, it appears that as a smart phone the mobile may not be offering much for the users who got used to the I-Phones, Blackberries and Samsung series. The Lava Xolo 900 has got a sleek design making it very attractive.
The dimensions are 123 X 63 X 10.9 mm and it has a plastic body weighing around 127 grams. The capacitive touchscreen is 4.03 inches TFT and it is giving a resolution of 1024 X 600 pixels. This is very good for videos and high end graphics. The device is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass which protects from scratches and damages. The left side of the phone has only one HDMI Port.
The right side has got volume and camera keys. There are two speakers along with Micro SIM card port. The universal audio jack is 3.5 mm and the mobile has two cameras. The front camera has got a measly 1.3 mega pixel with flash and can shoot upto 480 pixels. The rear camera is 8 mega pixel with autofocus, Zoom and LED flash. Full HD videos can be shot with 1080 p. This also can be used in various modes like auto, sports, landscape etc. The smartphone is priced at Rs 25999 in the market.
