Masala Honey Cornish hens
INGREDIENTS
  • 1/4th cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • Sprigs for garnish
  • 4 one-pound Cornish hens rinsed well and patted dry
  • 1/4th cup of lavender powder ground
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1/4th cup garam masala
How to Prepare

An oven must be preheated to 400 degrees Farenheit

Season the (whole small) hens with salt and set aside for 10 minutes

Take a medium mixing bowl and fill it with lemon juice, honey, garam masala, soy sauce and lavender flowers

The hens must be rubbed with the marinade

Take some oil and heat it over medium high heat

Sear the hens from all sides so that the oil enters

The hens must be transferred in a roasting pan and roasted in oven till the hens are tender

Insert thermometer in the thigh of hens and wait till it reads 165 degrees F

The dish is ready and arranged on platter

You can garnish it with lavender sprigs
