AMALA PAUL

• Amala is born to Christian Malayali parents and she hails from Ernakulam in Kerala
• She completed her plus two and that’s when films happened to her so she had to take a break but currently she has taken up education once again and is in the final year of BA
• Amala’s father was against the idea of her pursuing a career in acting but she got full support from her brother. As such, Amala’s father was into theatre when in college
• She changed her name to Anagha in between since another actress was there by her name but that didn’t work for her career and so she got back to her original name
• She won the Vijay award for best debut actress and got nominated for the filmfare award as the best debut actress for her performance in the film ‘Mynaa’
• Her latest achievement was the Youth Female Icon Of The Year award in Jaya Awards 2012 for her performance in the film ‘Deiva Thirumagal’
• She has become a noted name in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam film circuits and is considered the hottest property for the moviemakers.
