Bangalore, July 19 : India's Foreign Minister S.M. Krishna Thursday welcomed resumption of cricketing ties between India and Pakistan.
Reacting
to decision of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to resume
cricket matches with Pakistan, he said: "This will further bilateral
relations".
"I welcome the decision," Krishna told reporters here after casting vote in the presidential poll.
He noted that he would be visiting Pakistan in September for talks with his counterpart and other Pakistani leaders.
On
Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi playing a greater role in the
party and the central government, the foreign minister said "he is the
best man to judge".
