Colombo, Sep 21 : Luke Wright's blistering unbeaten 99 off 55 balls catapulted England to 196 for five against Afghanistan in their Group A encounter of the World Twenty20 at the R.Premadasa Stadium here Friday.

Alex Hales provided Wright good support, scoring 31 off 27 balls. Izatulla Dawlatzai took two wickets for Afghanistan while Shapoor Zadran and Dawlat Zadran took one each.
