Audio Review: NAA ISHTAM

Movie: NAA ISHTAM

The towering hunk Daggubati Rana is all set to arrive with his new venture and this time he is pairing up with the bubbly beauty Genelia. The music is by Chakri and the lyrics have been penned by Chandrabose. Let us have a look at the songs.

1. Na Ishtam
  Singer- Kunal Ganjwala

This is the title song of the album and it takes off on a very Arabic tune. The mixing of percussion instruments, synthesizer and other instruments is good. One can feel the Bollywood flavour of the song 'Dus Bahaane Karke Mera Dil...' in this one. The pace of the song is good and the singer has rendered it with good energy. The lyrics are written with good practicality and have matter of fact lines in it.

2. Ma Pedhakka
Singers- Geetha Madhuri, Deepthi Chari, Aishwarya

This is the item song of the album and it is already causing a sensation among the masses. It starts off with a typical harmonium play along with keyboard and though it has a slow mode, it picks up as it progresses. The usage of violin, tambourine, Octopad and drums is quite effective. The real punch of the song comes from the singers who rendered it with raunchy flavour. The icing on the cake is the lyrics which are written with complete masala much to the delight of the masses.

3. Jillele Jillele
  Singers- Adnan Sami, Mamata Sharma

This is a very interesting romantic duet and it starts off with a different tone. The usage of the Chinese guitar, Octopad, synthesizer, drums and other instruments is significant and the mix is very nice. The pace of the song is moderate and there is good melody. The energy for the track comes from the male singer who has rendered it with distinct pitch and well supported by the female singer. The lyrics have been penned with the right essence of romance making it worthy.

4.Haayi Haayiga
Singer- Revanth

An energetic solo with some foot tapping beats, the track takes off with some nice strumming of guitar which is well supported by the beats of the drum. The melody content is good in this one and the pace of the song is moderate. The singer has rendered it with very youth oriented flavour and cheerful tone. The energy in the song is quite appealing. The lyrics are written to convey the moods of those in love in the right way.

5. Changure Andhaale
Singers- Hema Chandra, Uma Neha

This reminds us of one of the Bollywood chartbusters which have the Bhangra beats to it. The pace of the song is quite swift and the usage of drums, Octopad, guitar is dominant. The music has taken the louder note and the singers have developed a good sync with the beats. They have rendered it with good energy. The words chosen for this song are very youthful and it has a simple feel to it.

6. O Saathiya
Singer- K.K

This is the highlight song of the album and it is more of a nostalgic romantic feel to it. The song takes off on a moderate note and the usage of violin, keyboard, guitar and tambourine with drums with good balance. The pace of the song is consistent and it is the singer who gives that extra push with his emotional rendering. His voice is filled with good intensity. The lyrics are another highlight which reveal the heartbreak feeling very convincingly.

7.Nee Kannullo
Singer- Shaan

This is an enjoyable romantic solo and it has a very rich melody to it. The track takes off with a good mix of flute, piano, tambourine, synthesizer and other instruments. The energy in the track is quite positive and the pace is also decent. The singer has modulated his voice in a versatile manner and gave an involving rendition. The lyrics are written with the right dose of poetic touch and nice romanticism. This is a good number.

Bharatstudent verdict After a long time it looks like Chakri has put his efforts to come up with a decent album. Primarily, the album comprises of good energy in each song and there is variety shown in the composition and the usage of instruments. The choice of music has been focusing on melody and there is a peppy flavour to it. Also, the genre of songs is varied as there is an item song, romantic duet, romantic solo, sad solo and youthful fast beat song. To get more quality to it, the choice of the singers is very good and they have rendered justice with their convicted contribution. The lyrical value is quite versatile and though there is not much literature, it goes with the flow of the songs. Overall, this is one album whose CD can be bought.
