Story:
A tale of revenge, the story begins with Deva ( Suriya) who is a post graduate and unlike others trying for a government job, he is busy working for Das ( Prabhu) who is a smuggler. They have a rival in the form of Kamalesh (Akashdeep) who does not hesitate to go to any extent to make the duo's life miserable. Meanwhile, Deva falls in love with Yamuna ( Tamannah), sister of Chitti ( Jagan) who works for Das. The story takes a turn when a raid occurs and Deva realizes that it is someone from their own close circle who did that. Meanwhile, Kamalesh decides to take a short cut and he gets Chitti killed and due to a twist of events, even Das gets killed. Enraged by this, Deva decides to put an end to Kamalesh and his business. How he does that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director came up with a routine storyline but the strength lied in its presentation and narrative. The dialogues were sensible, the script was written without flaws and the screenplay was remarkable. Harris Jayaraj was not his usual best but the songs were okay. M S Prabhu's cinematography deserves special mention as he has not let down his mentor. The real hero of the movie is the editor who came up with some really slick work. Costumes were exemplary and the art department was neat, special appreciations to the stunts department for their breathtaking sequences. The film belongs to Suriya completely as he is the life and soul of it. He has come up with some real good stunts and was quite expressive, Tamannah was beautiful and though her role was quite brief she made her presence felt, Prabhu was graceful, Akashdeep was evil enough, Jagan was above average and Karunaas was average, Renuka did her bit upto the standard.

Conclusion:
The film has nothing to offer in terms of novelty or variety and also the length at which the movie has been made tests the audience patience a bit. While the first half goes about with the regular violence and romance, the second half somehow lost the full tempo but overall it is a pacy thriller. The film has got high technical values and some soul stirring performance by Suriya, though the content part is weak, the makers have managed to keep the audience busy with impressive works. The film has got the perfect formula for being a commercial movie and so the mass and youth audience will be appealed. The length could have been curtailed a bit.

Bharatstudent Verdict : Above average but lengthy!!!
