Chennai, Sep 13 : Filmmaker
Madhura Sreedhar has confirmed that he's making the Telugu version of hit Hindi movie "
Vicky Donor".
"Yes,
it's true that I'm doing a Telugu version of '
Vicky Donor' titled
'
Dhaana Karna'. But I will start shooting for it only after I complete
my upcoming project, most likely to be titled '1 2 3'," Sreedhar told
IANS.
The director has also recorded some songs for "Dhaana
Karna" and says that the script has come out very well. However, he's
still in discussion with well-known actors to play the protagonist.
"Vicky
Donor", which was Bollywood actor
John Abraham's debut production
venture, is a light-hearted take on the taboo attached to infertility,
sperm donation and artificial insemination.
John's JA
Entertainment co-produced the film with Eros International and Shoojit
Sircar had directed it. The film's cast included two newcomers -
Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam and Annu Kapoor.
An IIT-Madras
graduate, Sreedhar worked for 13 years in reputed IT organisations
before turning director with "
Snehagitam" and "
It's My Love Story".
Shooting
for "1 2 3", which means 1-life 2-loves and 3-hearts, will start from
Sep 24 and will be released after Makar Sankranti.
"It's a
contemporary love story with Mahat Raghavendra, who plays a computer
hacker after failing in 16 subjects in engineering", said the director.
There
will be two female leads in the film and their names will be announced
soon. M.V.K. Reddy is producing it under his banner Shirdi Sai Combines.
