The recent release Billa 2 has failed to meet the expectations of the audience and many of them felt it was due to the poor direction of Chakri Toleti. Recently he was sharing his thoughts about it.
 
Chakri reportedly mentioned that the idea of preparing a prequel to the film was of the makers and he was roped in as the director once the script got finalized.
 
The film had big star Ajith Kumar as the hero and he was flanked by Bruna Abdullah and Parvathy Omanakuttan. The film was released in Telugu through SVR Media and produced by Sandhya Rani.
