Story:
A well knit tale, the story is set on the backdrop of a village and here lives Mohan (mammootty) who is a teacher at the Upper Primary School. However, Mohan has got a strong desire to become an actor and in this process, he keeps visiting various producers and directors to get that chance. He is also supported by his wife Savithri (shruti) and his son. However, an incident happens which humiliates Mohan in front of the entire village. Mohan decides to take some real experience and he joins the gang of a notorious goonda ( Lal). What are the various ups and downs that Mohan goes through from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with an appealing storyline and though the presentation could have been better the narrative were nice. The dialogues were meaningful, the script appeared convincing, the screenplay was better.  Background score contributed very well but songs should have been focused. Cinematography was impressive. Editing was crisp. Costumes were natural and art department looked realistic. Mammootty has come up with yet another riveting performance and he scores the brownie points. He is well supported by Shruti Ramakrishnan who has given a decent act. Lal was impressive, Salim Kumar was neat, Nedumudi Venu was natural, Vinayakan was apt.

Conclusion:
The film is a good package with high quality technical aspects and a fairly interesting content. While the first half goes about smoothly, it is not until the interval time that the twist occurs. After that, the second half has been quite deep with some touching moments and an inspirational message to the audience. Overall, this is a good combination of performances plus subject. At the box office, the chances are very strong that it will score a hit.

Bharatstudent Verdict: Touching and realistic, recommended
