Story:
A small thought stretched long, the story begins on the backdrop of the 80s with Unni Madhavan (dileep) who works as a journalist at a small newspaper named Jana Chintha. He has a tough life with not much money in the making and he also has his wife Vimla (gopika) who is pregnant and is currently going through that phase of mood swings and anxiety. To add to the woes, the erratic schedules of Unni keep him away from his wife for long time. The story takes a turn when he is given an assignment. He must come up with a story on the noted writer Palazhi Sivasankara Pillai (nedumudi venu) who is currently on his death bed and is about to breathe his last. What follows from there is a roller coaster ride of panic and pressure for Unni and what he uncovers during this process forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a good concept but then it was not enough to be conceptualized on the screen for more than two hours. The presentation was alright but the narrative was not gripping. The dialogues were okay, the script was average and the screenplay was okay. Background score and music contributed well but the songs were not effective. Cinematography was good at few places, editing was not upto the mark. Costumes were natural and realistic while the art department also proved its presence. Dileep has come up with a rocking performance and he has given his heart and soul, Gopika was equally good and displayed perfect emotions, Nedumudi Venu was neat, Salim Kumar was sensible, Jagathy was regular, Innocent did his bit, Idavela Babu was brief, Ashokan was alright, the others did their bit as per the standard.

Conclusion:
Though the take off for the movie was good, it was not able to sustain since there was not much on the storyline. The real responsibility was on the script but it failed to keep a tight leash. While the first half goes about in a moderate pace, the second half fizzles down and in no time, the audience is seen scratching their heads and eagerly waiting for the film to end. The film could have been better if it packaged for one and a half hour or so. That way, it could have created a stronger impact. Dileep fans will like it but otherwise this will be a below average treat at the box office.
