Story:

A not so romantic story, the tale is about Machu ( Mammootty) who lives his life as an orphan and begins his career as a scrap dealer. Solely through his hard work and determination, he becomes a very big guy and this story reaches the ears of the NRI industrialist Andrew Perreira (Nedumudi) who lives in Singapore. He invites Machu to Singapore but the truth is Machu's arrival in Singapore is more of a revenge mission since he is there to win the hand of Diana ( Navneet Kaur). Apparently, Diana happens to be the daughter of Andrew and this so called NRI industrialist actually cons Machu in a big way and flees to Singapore. So how does Machu manage in Singapore? Is he successful in his mission? What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:

The director has come out with a simple storyline and though the presentation was alright, the narrative lacked depth and gravity in subject. The dialogues were just about okay and good in few places, the script had few flaws and the screenplay was well executed. Music could have been better but there were not really catchy songs. Cinematography was nice with the foreign locales, editing was mediocre. Costumes were impressive, the art department did its bit with standard. Mammootty was the life and soul for the film and he delivered a good performance out of a nothing role. Navneet looked absolutely sexy and did her bit as required, Nedumudi was natural, Jayasurya was okay, Lalu Alex was remarkable, Sooraj was apt. The others did their bit with standard.

Conclusion:

The film gives an impression of a love story with the title but the truth is, the love element relates to the riches and comforts brought from money than the romantic angle. While the first half of the film goes about with the regular elements of comedy and lighter moments, the second half is more on the romantic angle and a bit of melodrama. However, the film could not get the momentum that was required of an image and since the intensity was missing, the returns will be a decent one at the box office.

Bharatstudent Verdict: Just about okay, nothing great...
