So far, the noted director Kamal made his mark as a moviemaker but now it is heard that he is donning the role of a producer. Sources say he has joined hands with another producer Ubaid.
 
This is for a new movie titled as Celluloid and it is slated to be based on the life of the noted Malayalam director J C Daniel. Apparently, Daniel is considered the father of Malayalam cinema.
 
The title role is going to be played by the young superstar Prithviraj and the story is penned by Vinu Abraham while the screenplay has been done by Kamal himself. The search is on for the heroine.
