Story:

A typical commercial potboiler, the story begins with Shambulinga otherwise known as Junglee ( Vijay) and his only aim in life is to get into films and make his mark as a villain. For this, he approaches the not so useful Gudde Narasimha ( Rangayana Raghu) so as expected, nothing much works out for Vijay with films. However, Gudde has got few connections so he takes him to a veteran don Guruswamy (Avinash) for help in movies. However, don Swamy gives Junglee the job of becoming the driver for his son. One day, Junglee saves Swamy's son from an attack by his opponents and since then he becomes the most trusted guy. Junglee's life changes into a don's life and on the other hand, he is in love with the college going Padma (Andrita). She is ready to accept his love only if he lets go of his reign of terror. Now, Junglee is caught between his profession and personal choice. How does he handle all that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:

The director has come up with a regular storyline and though the presentation was somewhat okay, the narrative lacked depth and the required punch. The dialogues were mediocre, the script was not strong, the screenplay was alright. Music lived up to its bit with three numbers that can be called decent while the camera also captured the sensuous moves rightly. Editing was acceptable. Vijay has come up with a strong muscular physique and his stunts and dance sequences were very good, he has shown a lot of traces of yesteryear actor Tiger Prabhakar. Andrita from her end was steamy to the core and her sex appeal in the three songs that she has done will remain for a long time with the audience. Rangayana Raghu was regular, Aadi Lokesh was alright as the bad guy, Suresh Chandra and Nanjunda did their bit to contribute to the film. The others were average.

Conclusion:

The film is meant for two sectors of audience - the mass and the hardcore fans of Vijay. While the first half of the film goes about with the romance, songs, comedy and a little bit of action. The second half is all about violence, clean up tasks, sentiment, melodrama and emotions. The film could have been a lot better if the script was worked on with more depth and flavour, this would have given the additional punch required for a mass masala flick. This might just turn out to be an average grosser but then the word of mouth will also play a key role to decide its fate.

Bharatstudent Verdict: Typical mass masala action treat, Vijay fans will like it.
