Recently, Puneeth was invited as the chief guest for the audio release function of the Tamil movie Mugamoodi. This is being directed by Mysskin and Appu unveiled the first audio CD of the film.
 
The venue for this was the famous Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai and the event also had the Kollywood superstar Vijay as the special guest. The music is by Krishnakumar.
