Mumbai, June 29 : He is an internationally acclaimed filmmaker and has presented some of the actors in their best avatar in films, but Shekhar Kapur detests watching himself on screen.

"People keep telling me how wonderful the film ' Drishti' was. I actually never saw the final film. Hated myself on screen. Still do," the filmmaker posted on Twitter.

As an actor, he has featured in movies like "Ishq Ishq Ishq" (1974), "Jaan Hazir Hai" (1975) and "Gawahi" (1989).

He is also doing a special appearance in " Vishwaroopam", a Tamil-Hindi spy thriller written, directed and co-produced by Kamal Haasan.

Audiences loved him when he featured in Kavita Choudhary directed hit serial "Udaan" in 1989.
