Mumbai, May 6 Shekhar Ravjiani of the composer duo Vishal-Shekhar has sung his first Marathi single " Saazni" and says that the revenue from downloads of the song will help in educating the girl child.

"The revenue from downloads of Saazni will go towards girl child education. I wanted to do this since a very long time," Shekhar tweeted.

"Lack of education and poverty forces many adults to abandon their child, especially a girl child at a very tender age. Such children find a home in (NGO) Maniketan, located in Thane," he further tweeted.

The song is available on www.hungama.com and the proceeds from the song will go to Ma-Niketan, an NGO that works towards the education of the girl child.
