This might sound unusual but then many think that the first film of Jaya Bachchan and her son Abhishek Bachchan is Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. However, it is not so. The first film of both happens to be the Bengali movie Desh. This was released in the year 2002 and Jaya was essaying the role of Abhishek's mother in the film. Abhi from his end did a brief cameo as he essays the role of her NRI son. Later on, they were seen in the Bollywood movie Drona.
