Chandan Roy Sanyal played the role of Mikhail, hero's friend in the recent Bollywood hit "Kaminey". He is actually a mathematics graduate who gave tuitions to pay for his acting classes. He worked as a lecturer in Mumbai and worked in theatre for seven years. He has met many international stars before he made his debut in the big screen. In a recent interview he said that he learnt his acting from Habib Tanvir, Alyque Padamsee, Tim Supple and Vishal Bharadwaj who are his pillars.
