It is heard that the film ran for 64 weeks at the Chitra theatre in Calcutta. The film had Durgadas Banerjee in the lead and this was directed by Debaki Bose. The film was again made into Hindi just two years after that and this had K L Saigal in the lead. The remake went on to become a huge hit. Saigal had paired up with Umashashi. |
