Los Angeles, Aug 3 :  Singer Beyonce Knowles is planning to showcase her life story through a documentary film. She will act in and direct the project herself.

The 30-year-old will also serve as the producer of the film, which will track her entertainment career, reports latimes.com.

Following the footsteps of other celebrities like Katy Perry and Justin Bieber, the singer will showcase her life through concerts and interviews.

She had previously made a mini-documentary on herself titled "Beyonce: Year of 4", which aired on MTV in 2011.
