Story:
NTR is a thief since childhood. He happens to save Priyamani once when both were kids. Little Priyamani gifts him with a chain of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha. After many years NTR saves Priyamani again. She understands that he was the one who saved her in childhood and falls in his love. Priyamani is the daughter of a rich land lord. The land lord dies and the uncles of Priyamani treat her like a slave. Once they plan to kill her and NTR happens to save. But after knowing that Priyamani shouldn't be killed to get the property, her uncles start searching for her. NTR knowing the same, plans that Priyamani should be released only after taking Rs 50 lakh from her uncles. The uncles agree for the deal but they kill him. Then he goes to Narakam and meets Yama. Rest of the film has to be watched on screen.

Presentation:
NTR's performance is very good and his new slim look is really new. It is hard to accept him as NTR in some frames but he is good on a whole. His dances are extra ordinary and the delivery of dialogues in Yama Lokam is on par with that of Late NTR in Dana Veera Soora Karna. Mohan Babu is the key soul of the film and his bearing as Lord Yama is perfect. It is great to underline that he is maintaining good physique even at this age. Khushboo played his wife. Although she is very fat, she tuned well for that mythological role. A few dance steps for her with Yama looked awkward to some extent.Late NTR's depiction in the film with dialogues and songs is really good and the graphics department should be lauded for it. Mamta Mohandas proved her talent. She has shown her acting abilities apart from her singing in 'Olamme Tikkaregindaa'. But the song is underplayed ob screen and in audio. The expected elevation hasn't come for the film. Priymani's performance is not that great. It's simply Ok. Art direction, Cinematography and direction are the great things those deserve a mention. The production values are really very high. Songs are really good and the first song 'Ola Olala...' is a scenic one to mention. The Art work done by Anand Sai with blue and purple elements is good. Other songs 'Nachore..' and 'Rabbaru Gajulu..' are also good. 'Noonugu Meesalodu' is a good melody in the film. Anand Sai should be acclaimed for his dexterity in erecting such beautiful and aesthetic set for Yama Lokam. Graphics also supported him well. Rajamouli made it big again.

Conclusion:
It's like any other film with Yama factor looking at the story part. There is no great suspense elements those make audiences stun at the end. It's a flat film with many interest boosters.

The film should be-

1. A continuation of hits in the filmography of Rajamouli.
2. A hit break for NTR in his second innings.
3. A good fantasy flick that appeals for families, masses (youth-'may' or 'may not').
4. It has the stuff to watch again after a gap.

Bharatstudent Verdict: Watch it once. You may watch it again after some considerable gap.
