Story: The story begins with Srimannarayana (Balayya) who works as a journalist and is also a fearless do-gooder to society. In this process, he gets into clash with a minister (Jayaprakash Reddy), his brother (Supreeth) and their associate who is a Hawala broker (Suresh). His father (Vijay Kumar) also believes in helping the farmers and with that he stars one Jai Kisan initiative and collects public funds worth thousands of crores. The story takes a turn when the funds in the account disappear and Srimannarayana’s father also dies. The situation shows that Srimannarayana has swindled all those funds. What happens from there forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation: The director has come up with a weak storyline and while the presentation was alright, the narrative was not upto the mark. The dialogues were okay, the script was not that strong and the screenplay was below average. Background score was suitable but only two songs were worth listening. Cinematography was fluctuating. Editing was bad. Costumes were stylish and trendy while the art department was worthy. Nandamuri Balakrishna has come up with a good performance and he shouldered the film to his best efforts. Parvathi Melton looks glamorous but she has to put on some weight to look sexier. Isha Chawla is natural sex bomb and she does full justice to glamour quotient. Jayprakash Reddy, Supreeth, Suresh, Ravu Ramesh, Nagineedu, Kota failed to create an impact. Vijay Kumar was standard. Duvvasi Mohan was hilarious. Krishna Bhagawan and M S Narayana were weak. Vinod Kumar was okay. The others didn’t have any scope. |
Conclusion: The film has come in with somewhat minimum hype and due to the Balayya factor the expectations were there to an extent. While the first half goes about with the elements of comedy, romance, fights and songs, the second half gets into some seriousness but the momentum was not there. Placement of songs was very bad. Overall, this is a film which should be watched only for Balayya’s presence and nothing else. At the box office, this may not be able to score a huge success. Bharatstudent verdict: Powerful title, good performances but weak storyline and execution |
