Story: Lakshmi Krishnadevaraya aka LK (Sri Hari) is a Criminal Lawyer who saves criminals from legal punishment but kills them later without leaving clues for law saying that he believes in 'cosmic law of Universal balance'. In the course of time, he comes across a case relating to 'Sri Mahalakshmi' a medical college student who dies in suspicion. Who killed her is the suspense. LK advocates the case and finds the real culprit. But that culprit will not come to court at all. He normally saves the convicts (9 senior girls who are alleged to be Sri Mahalakshmi's murderers) but kills real culprit. There is a twist in the climax. |
Presentation: Sri Hari is at his best but artificiality ruled on him a lot. He enacted dramatically which will not tune to today's Telugu audiences. Suhasini appeared in small role as Sri Hari's sister. She gave her own voice for the film. There is no comedy in the film. Heroine is also absent. There is only one song that is on Mumaith Khan which was not at all catchy. Vijayan failed to knit the film in gripping mode. Only the fights are impressive in the film. |
Conclusion: Lack of comedy, lack of nativity in narration and lack of proper screenplay and weak dialogues diluted the film. It's the remade version of Malayalam super hit 'Chintamani Kola Case'. Shaji Kailash made that in original with Suresh Gopi. But here fight master Vijayan made an attempt to bring that on Telugu screen wherein he failed to big extent. He toppled in giving natural touch to the film but relied on melo drama a lot. The film is presented in Malayalam way but not in Telugu style. The screenplay is weak and that marred the tempo on the whole. It gives an impression that Malayalam film is rolling on screen with Telugu dialogues. Simply to say it's a film based on murder mystery. There are many illogical aspects in the film.
How a lawyer can kill people and call it 'Cosmic Justice'?
What this lawyer did with the money he earned from criminals in the form of fees?
First half and second half runs with no comedy where second half is completely made with thrilling elements. The film is for masses but there are no elements in it to attract them too.
