Story: A hilarious tale, the story begins with Srinivas (udhayanidhi) who works in a multiplex along with his close friend Bangarraju (santhanam). Srinivas’s mother (saranya) is an innocent lady who spends her entire life to make him a graduate as it is the dream of her husband (azhagam perumal). The story takes a turn when Srinivas comes across Meera (hansika) daughter of Deputy Commissioner of Police (sayaji shinde) and falls in love with her. His attempts to woo her fail and not giving up, he takes the help of Bangarraju. However, Meera’s marriage gets fixed with an industrialist’s son. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a formula storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was excellent. The dialogues were the main strength with comedy lines and satires. The script was decent and the major asset was the screenplay. Background score was haunting and three songs were mesmerizing. Cinematography was simply superb. Editing was sharp. Costumes were colorful and provide visual appeal while the art department was rich in many aspects. Udhayanidhi has come up with a decent debut and he fits into the role very well. Hansika looks very pretty except her increasing weight. The real show stealer was Santhanam who has given an exceptional performance. Sayaji Shinde was standard. Saranya Ponvannan was good. Azhagam Perumal was apt.

Conclusion: The film happens to be the dubbed version of the Tamil movie ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’ and it relies on two major aspects- comedy and youth pulse. The director has tapped that perfectly and he didn’t try to experiment much after that. While the first half goes about with the lighter elements of comedy, romance and songs the second half has its share of comedy again along with a small twist. Overall, the nativity factor is missing and few eccentricities of a Tamil film are felt. At the box office, it might turn out to be an average treat.
