Naa Ishtam Tollywood Movie Review

Story: An alright tale, the story is set on the backdrop of Malaysia and here lives Ganesh (rana) a man who is very practical and doesn’t give much importance to love and feelings. His life takes a turn with the arrival of Krishnaveni (genny) a small town girl from India who escapes to Malaysia in the hope of marrying her lover Kishore (harshavardhan). The lover fails to turn up and few twists occur which lead Krishnaveni to Ganesh. In her protection, Ganesh spends money and he decides to recover that by taking her back to her hometown in India. He takes Krishnaveni to her place but here he notices that the marriage that she escaped from was really not worth it. He brings her back to Malaysia but in this process he falls in love with her. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Naa Ishtam Telugu Cinema Review

Presentation: The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was alright, the narrative was a drawback. The dialogues were okay to an extent. The script was well written but the screenplay was the major letdown. Background score was okay and songs were not that special. Cinematography was mediocre. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were natural and stylish while the art department was appealing. Rana has come up with a regular performance and he could have been better. Genelia does her bit as required and looks sweet. Harshavardhan Rane looks handsome and he made his presence felt. Shahwar Ali was okay. Brahmanandam, Ali, Chitram Sreenu, Raghu Babu, Vijay Sai tried to infuse few laughs. The item song was a visual feast. Bharath was hilarious.

Conclusion: The film has come in with not much of publicity and given the fact that it had the lead pair of opposite natures, there was something to interest the audience. While the first half is alright and has few interesting situations, it is the second half which gets dragged. Though the twists in the tale are worthy the way they were brought in didn’t have that depth. Overall, this is a film which has a good storyline and turns but the execution was a spoiler. At the box office, the film will have decent openings but expecting success from it is not advisable.
