Story:
A stale tale, the story begins with Balu (manoj) whose goal is to become a great singer, he also takes an oath never to go back to his hometown unless he achieves his goal. He stays along with his friends but has trouble in the form of his neighbour, Captain Rao (mohan Babu). Both of them share usual rivalry and try to get smart with each other. Things change when Rao's friend's daughter Shravya (tapsee) arrives from US. She wants to do a documentary on the traditional Telugu folk songs and wants a music guide. Balu enters the scene and love happens along with documentary. However, Rao hatches a plan and tries to separate both. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a beaten track and though the presentation was good, the narrative was weak. The dialogues were okay, the script was shallow, the screenplay was okay. Background score was good but only two songs were alright. Cinematography was rich, editing was crisp, costumes were apt and art department was strong. Manchu Manoj gave a spirited performance and he has done justice. Mohan Babu was excellent and he captures the attention for a long time. Tapsee looks very sexy, she is more of the hot chic type than a pretty looking girl next door. Brahmi was okay, MS Narayana was witty, Suman was brief, Ahuti was hardly there, Ali was okay, Raghu Babu made his presence felt, Sudha was usual, Ishwarya was average, Tanikella was decent, others didn't have much to offer.

Conclusion:
The film appears to be a mix and match of various subjects picked from various movies and combined to make a story. While the first half takes off on an entertaining note and looks promising, things begin to fall just before the interval. The situation is the same in the second half and due to the non-situational songs and predictable climax, the film loses its punch. This will be a film more for the front benchers but not for the family audience. At the box office, it wont be able to live up to the hype.
