Story: An emotional tale, the story begins with Ramakrishna (Krishna) who is a well known businessman and is also known for his big heart. He is an idol for many and also for his folks at home, he has his younger brother Purushottam (Chandramohan) who loses his wife at the birth of their only son Chanti (Ravi Teja) and since then has been living with Ramakrishna's family for the sake of the child. Chanti develops a strong attachment to Ramakrishna and is willing to do anything for him, however Ramakrishna's sons don't have a good opinion of him and also they are involved in few unfair activities which takes them off track. Meanwhile, an incident happens at Ramakrishna's home and in this misunderstanding Chanti is thrown out of the house by Purushottam. In an effort to win the hearts of his family, Chanti starts operating outside and also realizes that there are few baddies who are getting ready to cause a major destruction to Ramakrishna's construction business. In this process, he also meets Bhanumathi (Anushka) who eventually becomes the love of his life. How he tackles the evil doers? Is he allowed to get back home? All this forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a regular tale of sentiment and family drama but then his narration was too predictable and lacked the flavour. The presentation was alright thanks to some decent music and also a good work with the camera, the script was weak and the screenplay was executed shoddily. The dialogues did not have much in it and the editing was deft but could have been better. Ravi Teja has come up with a different performance in a milder fashion and he needs to avoid coming in close shots as the age is showing on him. Anushka is one hot sensation, yet again she has proved that her oomph is worth but then her role was quite limited and was a sidetrack mostly. Superstar Krishna carried out his role without much hiccups and the bad guys Pradeep Rawath, Satya Raj, Subbaraju also did their bits with proper elements of evil in them. The comedy track was not upto the mark.

Conclusion: The film is a regular tale of sentiment and drama and one cannot help think of the Venkatesh movies where the protagonist generates a lot of sympathy before emerging as the winner of hearts in the end. While the first half goes about in a lighter vein with the elements of romance, comedy and songs the second half picks up the momentum and there is more of action and violence not leaving much for other elements. Commercially, the movie might cross the profit mark barely but it is definitely not a success material.
Bharatstudent Verdict : An average sentiment treat, nothing special about it. |
