Story: A routine tale presented differently, the story begins with Narayana (rajeev) a student who is about to commit suicide. However, he is rescued by one Karthik (navadeep) and when asked for the reason, Narayana gives his flashback. Narayana is a brilliant student coming from a middle class family and his life takes a turn when he falls in love with Keerthi (panchi). Unable to get her response, he resorts to suicide. Karthik promises to help Narayana and after a while Narayana becomes friends with Keerthi and life begins to look beautiful. Meanwhile, Keerthi and Karthik seem to develop a new bond. What happens after that forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation: The director has come up with a familiar storyline and while the presentation was neat, the narrative was not that strong. The dialogues were sensible at places, the script was well written but the screenplay was mediocre. Background score was good and almost all the songs were hummable. Cinematography was effective. Editing was regular. Costumes were colorful while the art department was appealing. Navadeep comes up with a sincere performance and he scores. Rajeev has shown good improvement and does justice to his role. Panchi looks sweet but she has to work a bit on her expressions. Tanikella was mature, Bhanu Chandar was decent, Dharmavarapu brought few smiles, Surekha Vani looks sensuous and performs well, Ravu Ramesh was not used to his fullest. The others didn't have much to offer. |
Conclusion: The idea of talking about suicide and how the youngsters have to deal with it is an appealing concept. However, one has to come up with a very tight screenplay to keep the momentum. While the first half goes about with the lighter elements such as comedy, romance and songs, the second half gets into the twist and brings the required melodrama and emotions. The climax was appreciable. Overall, this is a film which could have worked better if few unwanted scenes were clipped and focus was there on the plot. At the box office, this could be an average grosser. Bharatstudent Verdict: Passable but could have been better |
