Vengayam Kollywood Movie Review
Story:
A tale with a message, the story is set on the backdrop of a village and here is a police constable (alexander) who falls in love with Tamizh (bhavina), the daughter of a milkman. The village also has good number of godmen and astrologers who are fake. They keep coming up with false prophecies and loot the innocent villages. The story takes a turn when all of them go missing one day. Anbu is entrusted with the case of locating the missing individuals. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a thought provoking storyline and while the presentation was neat, the narrative was routine. The dialogues were good at places, the script was average while the screenplay was passable. Background score was okay and songs were not upto the mark. Cinematography was irregular. Editing saw few scenes getting jumped. Costumes were natural while the art department was suiting the moods. Sathyaraj comes up with a brief act but makes his presence felt. Alexander has the physique to be a cop but he should work on his expressions. Bhavina has confidence but not the looks to become a heroine. The others hardly had anything to offer. They did their bit as required.

Conclusion:
The film appeals due to the storyline about atheism and how people should not get trapped by false sentiments and fraud godmen. While the first half goes on the lighter note with some elements of comedy, romance, the second half is all about the clash of ideologies and different perspectives. If only the writing could have been stronger with added elements of entertainment, the film would have created strong impact. At the box office, this will appeal to the B, C centre audience. It could be an average grosser.
