Arjun wants to tell about his love story with Anjana (taapsee) to Ramana. From then on, he starts pestering Ramana to listen to the love story. As such, there is a strong connection between Ramana and Arjun. One day, Ramana discovers that connection and he starts hating him further. As for Arjun, he starts playing few games and this result in Ramana's business getting affected. What is that link? What is Anjana's love story? All this forms the rest of the plot.

Vandhaan Vendraan Tamil Cinema Review

The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was neat, the narrative was not that strong. The dialogues were sensible at places, the script was well written but the screenplay was weak. Background score was good and two songs were hummable. Cinematography was excellent. Editing was regular. Costumes were colorful while the art department was appealing. Jiiva is energetic and carries off his role with ease. Taapsee gives the required visual feast and fills the glamour part. The best among the lot is Nanda who looks menacing. Santhanam was poor, his jokes were stale. Rehman was regular, Rachana Maurya came and went. The others didn't have much to offer.

Vandhaan Vendraan Filem Review

The film has come in with high expectations since it has Jiiva and Taapsee. While the first half goes about on the lighter mode with elements of comedy, romance and songs, it is the second half that picks up momentum. The best part is saved for the climax with a super twist. However, due to the slow pace it is too late by the time the twist occurs. Overall, the film is made technically well but if only the comedy part and the energy levels in the script were maintained, this would have been a sure shot hit. At the box office, the openings will be good but success is doubtful.
