Theneer Viduthi Kollywood Movie Review
A regular tale told well, the story is set on the backdrop of a village and here live two brothers Kumaran (adith) and Pandhal Raja (suresh). Both make their living by erecting pandals during wedding and other functions. The story takes a turn with the arrival of Valli (reshmi). She is the daughter of the sub registrar Nachiyappa Chettiyar (prabhakar) and ends up falling in love with Kumaran. In no time, the matter gets known to Nachiyappa and he sends Valli to his sister's home. Kumaran also goes to that place and whether their love story is success or not forms the rest of the story.
Theneer Viduthi Tamil Cinema Review
The director has come up with a simple storyline but it is the presentation which was good, the narrative was alright but it could have been better. The dialogues were witty, the script was predictable but the screenplay was interesting. Background score was apt and songs were pleasant. Cinematography was the best in the way it captured the locations and gave a visual appeal. Editing was alright. Costumes were natural while the art department was matching the situations. Aadith is handsome and he has given his best efforts to bring the required interest. Reshmi had a meaty role and she utilised it to the best. Kodumudi Suresh was hilarious, Prabhakar was matured and emotes well. The others didn't have much to offer.
Theneer Viduthi Filem Review
The film doesn't get into the clichéd commercial formula and it is just an honest attempt to depict the life of the protagonist and the people around him. The good thing about the film was the humour laced in many scenes but the bad thing is the way few scenes got dragged. While the first half was appealing, the second half needed trimming. Overall, this might strike a chord with the B, C centre audience given the backdrop and above average returns look sure at the box office.
Bharatstudent Verdict: Simple, natural and witty
