Thee Nagar Kollywood Movie Review

Thee Nagar is nothing but an old wine in new bottle. But debutant director Thirumalai has done a good package, which makes the movie worth watching. With all the romantic movies around THEE NAGAR comes as fresh air with college backdrop. Though movies with college background are more romantic, Thirumalai sticks to good and bad with slight tinge of romance.

Thee Nagar Tamil Cinema Review

The Plot:
Yamaha Murugan (Karan) is man of heart and chairman of City College who always venture out to do good things and is always there for student community whenever the need arises. The happy going lucky lad finds himself in confusion and struggling for job as he find it difficult to secure a permanent job due to wide stream corruption.

Unable to find job, Murugan returns back to the college and set up a tea stall outside campus, as a stop gap arrangement. Life looks sailing smooth for that moment having revenues enough to sustain and love in the air with Nadhiya ( Udhayathara) who falls for Murugan's good conduct and humanly nature. But Murugan is forced to confront evil in the form of corrupt cop FIR Murthy. Murthy's incessant interest in college political goondaism and favoring dishonest students makes matter worst, which leads Murugan taking the centre stage and opposing the corrupt officer. What forms latter is how good wins over evil using all the mechanism of evil itself.

Thee Nagar Filem Review

Thirumalai glorified the student's community to hilt, and he has shown how student's can be actively allowed to participate in politics and social development of the country.

Karan looks refreshing with his role as Yamaha Murugan. He has done good justice to his role and is seen as a better hero compared to Kokki and Karruppasamy Kuthagaitharar. He has shown lot of scope and improvement in stunt and dancing sequences.

Udhayathara as the female lead and Karan's love interest looks good. She has properly utilized screen space allotted to her with ease.Shanmagurajan has the corrupt police officer has done a decent job.

The best highlight of the movie were stunts by Siva, they will certainly makes the audience to drool over. Song Neeyae En Saraya Theru is foot-tapping, and Jassie Gift is now slowly catching the attention of Filmmakers for his musical score.

Bharatstudent Verdict: All in all Thee Nagar is an average movie and can be watched if one have enough time to kill.
