Thee Kollywood Movie Review
A typical tale, the story begins with Sarathy (Sundar) who is a tough and honest cop and given his straightforward nature, he is the thorn in the flesh for many antisocial elements and also the politicians. Due to this, he keeps getting transferred from time to time, however, Sarathy has no qualms about it since he is happily married with a lovely wife Kalyani (Ragini). Sarathy's life however takes a turn when he arrests a corrupt MLA (G M Kumar) and his men which leads the politician to quit the field. He vows revenge and kills Kalyani and also frames Sarathy in a case. This enrages Sarathy so much that he decides to take a different route, he becomes Perumal and with the help of a top shot actress Ruchi Devi (Namitha), he obtains a political ticket and successfully becomes an MLA. From then on, he begins his corrupt acts and in such a way that the entire society begins to loathe the police force. In no time, the cops are vexed and decide to go on an indefinite strike. The entire system comes to a halt and things begin to get messy, Perumal then strikes hard at the former MLA who kills Kalyani and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Thee Tamil Cinema Review
The director has attempted to come out with a socially enlightening film but then the narrative lacked the depth to get the right feel. The dialogues were a bit shaky, the script had few loose ends, the screenplay was effective. The music tried to come up with a typical 'Kuthu' feeling and the remixes were not that impressive. Camera tried to capture the angles in all ways possible but it was not upto the mark, editing was better. Sundar C did his best to enact the two different forms of his image and came up with a fairly decent performance. Ragini was brief and did her bit, the real impact was from Namitha who did full justice to her role and oozed out oomph to a great extent, she was a visual feast. Sayaji Shinde was alright, Manoj K Jayan was good, Goutham was alright, G M Kumar could have been better. The others were just about okay.
Thee Filem Review

The film happens to be a remake of the Tollywood super hit 'Operation Duryodhana' and though most of it has been the same, the script has been tweaked a bit to suit the taste of the audience. While the first half goes about with the regular elements of fights and masala dialogues, the second half is all about the twist in the tale and how it culminates into a lengthy but meaningful climax. However, the induction of highly glamorous and 'Kuthu' songs at unwanted scenes hampered the speed of the film. The pace could have been better, the film will appeal the mass audience and it might turn out to be a break even venture for the makers.
