Thambikottai Kollywood Movie Review
Story:
A regular tale, the story begins with Alagiri (narein) who is brought up by his sister Shanmugapriya (meena), a teacher. Life goes smoothly for him until he gets a chance to visit the Thambikottai village as part of his NSS activity. However, Shanmugapriya advises him not to go. Anyways, Alagiri goes and here he sees the evil acts of the don Amrithalingam (rajendran). He decides to deal with the don and in the process, he also falls in love with Kanaka (poonam), the don's daughter. There is also a flashback to this. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a routine storyline and while the presentation was alright, the narrative was better. The dialogues were regular, the script was predictable and the screenplay was average. Background score was good but songs could have been better. Cinematography is alright. Editing was moderate. Costumes were traditional while the art department was natural and catchy. Narein has come up with a different act unlike his regular roles, he was good. Poonam Bajwa looks delicious as usual and did her bit as required. Meena was matured, Sangeeta was effective, Rajendran was mean, Santhanam brought few smiles, Prabhu was decent. The others did their bit as required.

Conclusion:
The film doesn't offer anything new in terms of story or the plot. However, there is enough nativity in the film which will connect to the B, C center audience. While the first half goes about with the elements of comedy, songs, romance and some action, the second half gets sentimental and therea are some dramatic moments. As such, this is not for the thinking audience, it is only for those commercial audience who seek some fights, sentiment, romance, comedy. At the box office, this will be an average grosser.
