TN07 AL4777 Kollywood Movie Review
An edge of the seat entertainer, the story begins with Mani (Pasupathy) who is originally a taxi driver but then he fakes with his wife Subbalakshmi (Simran) that he is an LIC agent. Also, he is a drunkard and everyday returns home without a penny in hand. Mani does not care a bit about his wife and his only son but despite that she is devoted to him. On the other hand, there is Gautham Iyengar (Ajmal), the only son of Ramanujam Iyengar, a multi-millionaire tycoon. Gautham is an irresponsible, spoilt brat and is a major spendthrift. Due to this, his father entrusts the entire property to a trustee Venkatramani. For this, Gautham has to prove that he is the sole heir to the property and produce a document and he takes the help of his girlfriend Pooja (Meenakshi). However, destiny gets him into the taxi of Mani and from then on starts a roller coaster ride of repulsion, hatred but at the same time, the need to stay with each other and work things out. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
TN07 AL4777 Tamil Cinema Review
Presentation :
The director has come up with a very neat adaptation of the original and both the presentation and narration streams have been perfect. The dialogues were well written, the script was racy, screenplay was executed brilliantly. Music made its presence felt and the background score suited to the mood, cinematography was effective and editing was apt. The costumes and art department were natural and other departments did their bit to add value. Coming to the cast, Pasupathy was a real show stealer with his varied emotions while Simran has shown that she still has enough material in her as an actress. Ajmal was apt with his role, Meenakshi's presence was limited but then she gave enough glamour and oomph. The others did their bit as per standards.
TN07 AL4777 Filem Review
The film happens to be a remake of the Bollywood hit 'Taxi No 9211' starring Nana Patekar and John Abraham and the Tamil version has been quite to the taste of the local audience. While the first half goes about with the building of the plot and the characters, the second half gets quite racy with the high voltage excitement. The makers should have taken care on cutting down the sentiment and melodrama and that would have made the film crispier. This will appeal to both mass and class audience.

Bharatstudent Verdict : Worth watching, thrilling and fast!!!
