Sillunu Oru Sandhippu Kollywood Movie Review
Story:
A good thought gone bad the story begins with the hero (vimal) and the heroine (oviya) who fall in love during their twelfth standard. Just like any other teen couple they decide to elope and get married. However, that doesn’t happen. Time passes by and the hero goes to the US and returns but this time he meets another girl (dipa) through his parents. But their mindsets are different and to add to the trouble, the girl discovers about the hero’s first love. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was disappointing. The dialogues were neat. The script was well written but the screenplay was very poor, especially in the second half. The background score was alright and two songs were good. Cinematography was upto the mark.  Editing was not that crisp. Costumes were natural while the art department was apt. Vimal tried something different and though he didn’t fit the role of a school student rest of the bits were fine. Oviya looks perfect in her role and scored well. The real showstealer was Dipa who was sweet and expressive. Ashwin was average, Manobala was okay.

Conclusion:
It is the Valentine’s season and many would expect some heart touching romance but then though the film had good material it was not conceived with the right kind of emotion. The first half was promising with good elements of romance and some comedy but the second half had some confusing screenplay and development. Overall, the film had a good start but a poor ending. At the box office, the film may not be able to work much.

Bharatstudent verdict: Good subject but not executed to the right emotion
