Shivagiri Kollywood Movie Review
A known tale, the story begins with the life of Shivagiri (shivagiri) who is a noted cop and is known for his honesty and loyalty. He does not hesitate to bring the wrong doers to justice and so he has the confidence of his superiors in him. Now, a new mission is assigned to him and for this, he takes up the role of a college student. There he has the company of the beautiful girl (Rukhshana), also he has a beautiful software engineer (shantini) and yet another pretty girl (risha) to help him in his investigations. How Shivagiri manages to catch the culprits and whether he uses brawn or brains forms the rest of the story.
Shivagiri Tamil Cinema Review
It is a very routine story from the director and equally routine is his presentation and narrative. The dialogues were alright, the script was regular, the screenplay was apt. Music didn't have much to offer while the cinematography was plain. Editing was done at a good rate while the costumes and art department were fine. Shivagiri has done a good job in carrying out his various disguises but then not many marks for him in terms of looks. Rukhshana was ravishing, Risha was exotic but the real show stealer was Shanthini who looked seductive and sensuous. Guhan came up with an impressive act and the others didn't have much to offer.
Shivagiri Filem Review
The film happens to be an attempt from the pass outs of the Film institute and though there are few good moments, there were few equally weak patches too. The major setback for this is the lack of comedy, glamour quotient was full but the plot was utterly predictable. While the first half goes about with the songs and glamour, the second half gets into the action mode and in a way, this is a treat purely for the core front benchers who want some masala formula along with glamour.
