Story: An entertaining tale, the story begins with
Mahalakshmi (ananya) who is a maid in the big house of Amirthavalli (sheela).
She is a devout follower of Lord Muruga and dreams to marry a boy she likes. The
story takes a turn with the arrival of Mano (krishna), grandson of Amirthavalli.
Maha realizes that he is the boy who is coming in her dreams. On the other hand,
Mano's mother (suhasini) wants him to marry her friend's daughter. While Maha is
in a fix, a man named Saravanan (dhanush) comes from nowhere. What happens from
there forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation The director has
come up with a entertaining storyline and while the presentation was impacting,
the narrative was appealing. The dialogues were well written, the script was
smooth and the screenplay was catchy. Background score was good and two songs
are better. Cinematography is effective. Editing was neat. Costumes were natural
while the art department was apt. Ananya comes up with a gripping performance
and she steals the limelight. Krishna was okay and he needs to improve his body
language. Bhagyaraj was apt, Sheela was matured, Suhasini was elegant, Vivek was
hilarious, Ilavarasan was effective. The others did their bit as required and
added value.

Conclusion: The film takes off in
a regular mode and though there are not many serious moments, there is a message
or two for the audience. This is more of a time pass entertainer with family and
more like a feel good flick. While the first half goes about building the plot,
it is the second half when Dhanush arrives that the film really picks up and
engrosses. With a decent amount of comedy and the right technical values, the
film breezes without a hitch. This could be an above average grosser at the box
office. Bharatstudent
