Quick Gun Murugun Kollywood Movie Review

A typical filmy tale, the story is set in a small village in south India during the cowboy time, here is Quick Gun Murugun (rajendra prasad), the cowboy who is honest, sincere and believes in protecting the good and fighting the evil. He finds trouble from rice plate Reddy (nasser) who wants to make the best dosa in town. And he doesn't hesitate to kill or kidnap to get the recipe. So, he ends up taking all those women who are good at this. Thus starts a clash between Murugun and Reddy over vegetarianism and non-vegetarianism. In all this is Murugun's love story with Locket Girl (anu) and at the same time, he is also liked by Mango Dolly (Rambha). The story also goes to heaven where there is Mr Chitragupt (vinay). Who gets to win in the end forms the essence...

Quick Gun Murugun Tamil Cinema Review

The director has come up with an interesting thought and he has presented and narrated the whole thing very well. The dialogues were witty, the script was neat, the screenplay was adequate. Background score was superb while the cinematography did its bit to capture the shots and moments. Editing was crisp, the costumes were creative and the art department was perfect. Rajendra Prasad came up with a riveting performance and Nasser was good in his own way. Rambha looked apt for her role while Anu did her bit with ease, Vinay was good, Ranvir was brief, Gaurav and Sandhya also didn't have much to offer. Ashwin was nice, Raju Sundaram was impressive, Kishore Balla was excellent. The others didn't have much to do.

Quick Gun Murugun Filem Review

The film is definitely not for the serious audience or those who look for quality. This is a typical mirror to the era of Indian cinema that was about three decades ago. While the first half goes about with the regular elements of comedy, the second half also has got its share with some serious message as well. The film could have been a lot better if the amount of Tamil was reduced since it may not be comprehensive to the national audience in a big way. However, this sure is an entertaining treat filled with good performances and more like a journey.
