Peranmai Kollywood Movie Review
Story:
A well knit tale, the story is set on the backdrop of a forest and here is Dhruvan (jeyam ravi), the forest officer. He is a strict and a tough guy and also has the knowledge of the forest with his eyes closed. His life takes a turn when a group of college going girls comes to the forest as part of their NCC camp. The girls (Dhansika, Maha, Liyasri, Saranya, Vasundhara,) are head strong and are very troublesome. Added to that, Dhruvan's superior Ganapathiram (ponvannan) keeps humiliating him in the name of caste. However, Dhruvan takes it in his stride and he gets inside the forest along with the girls for the trekking camp. To his shock, the group discovers a group of foreign mercenaries who are led by one Anderson (roland kickinger). Their mission is to blow away a satellite which is to be launched by the government. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Peranmai Tamil Cinema Review
Presentation:
The director has come up with an interesting theme and both his narration and presentation were worth a watch. The dialogues were sensible, the script was neat and the screenplay was apt. Background score and music played a key role to add to the moods. Cinematography was excellent, editing was crisp, costumes were natural and the art department made its presence felt. Stunts and fights deserve special mention here. Jeyam Ravi came up with a riveting performance and he looks the best choice for the role, the girls did well and especially Dhansika and Maha were impressive, Ponvannan was perfect, Vadivelu added for the lighter moments, Oorvasi was okay, Roland Kickinger was awesome and the others did their bit to add value.

Conclusion:
The film scores mainly on the theme and also due to the fact that it is devoid of the regular boring elements like mushy romance, spicy masala songs, item numbers and group dances. The entire story runs on a nail biting pace and keeps the audience hooked to the screen. While the first half takes off on a moderate speed, the real tempo builds up in the second half and with some real good technical values and production aspects, the film is worth a treat. This is hard hitting and serious so those looking for formula entertainment might not enjoy it. Overall, this will go well at the box office.

Bharatstudent Verdict: Different and dynamic, recommended.
